Price checks, checkpoints and alerts

The Price Check page is a watch list: pick items from the crafting menu and see their market prices in every city of your region.

The city table

For each watched item and quality (Excellent by default, capped by what the item has), each city shows:

  • the cheapest sell offer and the best buy order;
  • the average price over a period of 3 to 90 days (the same period sets the trend and the chart), either a plain mean of the daily prices or weighted by the volume sold each day;
  • the trend and the quantity sold per day.

Days priced under half or over twice the median can be trimmed as noise, so one stray listing does not move the average. In the list, the average and the trend cover the cities picked in the city filter (the five Royal cities at first; every city but the Black Market under All cities): the trend is the line through their mean daily price.

Checkpoints

A checkpoint is a snapshot of an item's prices at one or several qualities, city by city. The alert dialog asks which qualities an alert reads: one quality uses its price, several use their average. The first % alert of an item at a set of qualities takes the checkpoint from the current prices, and deleting the last one clears it. On the Dashboard, the chevron of an alert opens its tracking table: city by city, the checkpoint price, the current price, the change and the trigger price. The same table opens from the Saved prices button of the Price Check page.

Alerts

An alert watches one price — the cheapest sell, the best buy order or the average — and fires when it moves a chosen percentage below or above its checkpoint in any of the alert's cities. Quick picks cover 5% to 25%, and the cities are picked in two filters: the Royal cities and the Black Market as groups, then the cities one by one. A Watch entry only follows the cheapest sell and its trend, without notifying.

Alerts are checked on a schedule, every 4 hours up to once a week. An alert that stays met is repeated after 30 minutes at the earliest, or sooner if the price got 5% better. You get an in-app message and a system notification.
